Kimberly
Conner established Predestined Arts
& Entertainment Company in 2005.
The writer of several screenplays
and a self-published author, Ms.
Conner bypasses the traditional ways
of both book and film production
that often involves turning over
your creative rights and huge percentages
from a body of work you created to
the hands of large publishing houses
and film production companies that
can position themselves to make “creative
decisions” about your work.
Rather than allowing the industry
to determine the outcome or tie her
projects up in industry red tape,
she designed a company that would
transcend those barriers without
compromising her ideas, a company
that would cultivate artistic endeavors,
a creative voice especially for people
of color.
Founded
on the belief that nothing in life
happens by chance or coincidence,
she thus adopted the name Predestined
believing that there is an orchestrated
plan for every individual from the
moment of conception. It is listening
to the tiny voice within, the spirit
that propels one beyond questioning
their purpose to actively pursuing
their purpose with endurance and
confidence.
The
first book released by Predestined
is Naked Poetics, a book of poetry.
Comprised of poems, expression, and
illustrations, it takes a thought-provoking
look at life through the eyes of
two sisters.
Predestined
Arts and Entertainment develops independent
projects guaranteed to entertain
the vast audience through books and
films and other creative endeavors
that promise to enlighten and encourage
the community.
On
the horizon, Predestined will bring
you a male calendar, a documentary,
and feature films. |
