A collaborative effort between two
sisters, Naked Poetics is a book
comprised of poetry, expression and
illustrations. During a period of
seven years, the sisters pour their
souls into what would later become
a book, tackling topics relative
to life through the art of expression.
Naked Poetics takes a thought provoking
glimpse at real issues and builds
on life as well as personal experiences.
Delving
in areas some would consider politically
incorrect and controversial, the
title, thus, derives from the fact
that the content is very open and
candid in nature.
Naked
Poetics chronicles a journey. Writing
the book proved to be a test of faith,
a labor of love, taking many years
to build up the courage to write
about subjects so undeniably up close
and personal.
Believing
that it would connect with others,
Kimberly and Candice Conner resolved
to turn this compilation into a book
that would generate dialog about
key issues and raise awareness in
our communities, society, and people
as a whole.
The
sisters chose to self-publish Naked
Poetics to ensure that they maintain
their freedom and independence and
their creative edge, while retaining
all rights to the book.
Its
purpose is to inspire and encourage.
